Dumfries Primestock Report

C & D Auction Marts Ltd held their Annual Christmas Show of Primestock in Dumfries on Wednesday 5th December 2018. The show was kindly sponsored by Johnston Tractors Ltd, Macmin Ltd, CCIB Ltd, North West Limousin Breeders Club and the The Galloway Cattle Society.

Champion Beast from J & L Craik

An outstanding selection of Locally Produced Prime Cattle were placed by Granville Moor who found his Champion from J & L Craik Waterside with their Black Limousin Heifer weighing 550kg and selling at 390p/kg to weekly market supporters R Johnstone & Sons, Butchers Annan.

Reserve Champion from Rena Paterson

The Reserve Champion was awarded to Rena Paterson, Low Three Mark with her Limousin Bullock scaling 620kg and selling at 290p/kg to Fraser's Butchers, Stranraer.

Galloway Champion from Romesbeoch

The Champion Galloway and Todstone Quaich was won by J S Ross, Romesbeoch selling to Creetown butcher William Lindsay at 270p/kg.
