Airies Texel Ram Sale Report

C & D Auctions conducted the Annual on-farm sale of Texel Rams at Mains of Airies, Stranraer on behalf of John Douglas and Family on Thursday 14th September 2023.

40 Texel Shearling Rams created plenty of attention at ringside and online, attracted by the naturally shown, grass-fed Shearlings on offer.

Airies Comet sired ram - £1150

The sale topper of £1150 was paid for an Airies Comet sired Ram which went home to Pilmuir, Hawick with Mathew Thomson.

Airies Dakota sired ram - £1100

Next best of £1100 was given to Wigtownshire stockman John Bailie, Low Glasnick for an Airies Dakota sire.

Total clearance was achieved to average £632.

The Romney Gimmers met keen competition selling to £160, heading to Orkney with M/S Cusiter.
Texel X Romney Gimmers sold to £155.
