Dumfries Goat Sale Report

C & D Marts Ltd held their sale of goats on Wednesday 15th November 2023 with great success and a total clearance including a dairy goat herd dispersal on behalf of Mrs J. Corbishley Newton Arlosh.

The sale was topped by a beautiful Top quality in -kid & due February 2024 2nd Kidding British Alpine Type Doe From Mrs Corbishley which fetched an admirable £225..00. with similar others realizing £122.00.

In-kid Goatlings fetching to £118.00 twice and blossoming nanny kids selling to top at £105.00 for British Toggenburg types all from the same consignor.

Additional meat goats also sold well with British Cashmere cross young Bucks to £105.00 twice and British Sannen cast bucks to £100.00.

Meat bred aged Kids sold well to top at £68.00 and looked good value. Many more could have been sold to advantage
