C&D Auctions held their Annual Show and Sale of Scotch Mule Ewe Lambs in Dumfries on Saturday 14th September 2024.

Herefordshire enthusiast David Morgan capably judged the pens of Lambs forward, finding his Champion pen from T & T Anderson & Son, Dornal which sold at £185.

Sweetshawhead

Reserve Champion pen from D. Henderson, Sweetshawhead

Reserve ticket was awarded to D. Henderson, Sweetshawhead realising £182. Demand outstrips supply with the days top price of £195 from Caruthers Farming, Merkland.

Lambs averaged £160.10 +£43.50 on the year.

Blackface Ewe Lambs met a selective trade selling to £115 from Kirkland Farming, Kirkland.
Scotch Mule Breeding ewes to £188, £182 from Grange Partnership, Barnmuir for 2-3 crop.
Store Lambs easily sold, selling to £117 for Texel lambs from J D M Thomson, Pilmuir.
Next sale of Store Lambs and Breeding Ewes Friday 20th of September, further entries requested.
