Dumfries Store and Breeding Sheep Report
C&D Auctions held their Annual Ram Fair in Dumfries on Friday 4th October 2024.
A good ringside of buyers was in attendance with best quality rams in demand.
Texel shearling rams topped at £1150 from R Harris, Auchengool with others to £1100, £1050 Auchengool, £1100 Newmains, £1000 x2 Boghouse.
Texel ram lambs to £500 Messrs J & C Hastings, Kopje
Suffolk shearlings £650 Messrs L R Howatson, Corriemains
Suffolk ram lambs to £600 Messrs J & M Buchanan, Prettsmill
Lleyn ram lambs to £600 H Goldie, South Bowerhouses
Blue Faced Leicester rams met a competitive trade selling to £750 from AM Brown, Drumhumphry.
Blue Faced Leicester ram lambs to £400 x2 from S Bryson, Kilfaddoch.
A few pens of ewe lambs were easily sold selling to £135, £132 from T & T Anderson & Son, Dornal.
750 Store lambs easily sold to a ringside of active buyers.
