Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart PLC held their Annual Show & Sale of Suckled Calves and Store Cattle in Dumfries on Monday 20th October 2014, when they had an entry of 884 head. A huge attendance of local and distant buyers were present.

Trade good with best sorts easily sold. Dairy bred plainer types met a lesser demand.

Prior to the Sale the Show was judged by Mr David Morgan, Hereford who awarded the Championship to Neil Shuttleworth, Drumburn for a British Blue Heifer (April Born) sold at £925 or 330.6ppk to James Retson, Gardrum.
Best pen also awarded to Drumburn for (March Born) British Blue Bullock Calves selling at £880 or 293ppk to H Hulland, Whiteyard.
