Dumfries Store Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd had their fortnightly sale of store cattle and annual sale of suckled calves on Monday 17th October 2022 with an entry of 659.

The suckled calves were ably judged by Ben Radley. Best beast from A & M Fitzsimmon, Tregallon with a limousin heifer, selling at £1280 or (345.9p/kg)

Best pen also Tregallon with heifers at £840 or (280p/kg)

Store cattle again met a competitive trade with buyers actively seeking cattle. A feature of the sale was the annual consignment of 80 16mo British Blue x Bullocks from A & F Baillie which sold to £1390 to average £1207.81
