Dumfries Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C & D Auction Marts held their fortnightly sale of store cattle in Dumfries on Monday 26th June 2023.

Trade remains firm for best sorts with buyers still actively seeking cattle.

Heifers topped at £1450 from B. Ramsay, High Auchneel with bullocks to £1395 Kirkbride and bulls to £1390 Lantonside.

Bullocks per head –  Limousin - £1395 £1350 £1290 Kirkbride, £1355 High Auchneel, £1215 Lantonside, £1100 Backburn. Angus - £1345 Kirkbride, £1250 High Auchneel, £1250 £1245 Sheddock, £1140 Highlaw, £1120 Backburn. British Blue - £1280 £1275 £1140 Lawston, £1120 Backburn, £1100 Highlaw. Simmental - £1125 Lawston.

Heifers per head – Limousin - £1450 £1310 High Auchneel, £1215 Backburn. Angus - £1380 £1140x2 Highlaw, £1300 High Auchneel, £1260 £1240 Sheddock, £1100 Fingland. Charolais - £1340 High Auchneel. Simmental - £1340 High Auchneel.  Hereford - £1280 High Auchneel.
