Dumfries Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auctions held their July Sale of Breeding Beef Cattle which included a Production Sale of the ‘Moffat’ Aberdeen Angus Herd on Monday 8th July 2024.

The pedigree Aberdeen Angus ‘Moffat’ cattle from Mrs R MacLean, Kilbarchan created plenty of interest with buyers attracted by the natural shown, unpampered cattle on offer.

Bulls topped at £3050gns for Moffat Eagle Z146 17month to Hastings, Auchenhill. Moffat Edith V111 5 year old Cow with Bull Cald Moffat Elite A155. They sold at £2800gns to Baxter, Gibblaston.

In Calf September Calving Heifers sold at 1700gns for Moffat Pandora Y136.

Maiden Heifers to 900gns for Moffat Miss Beatric 2152. Others sold to £2600 for a Limousin Cross Heifers with Heifer Calf from Fingland, Garmartin.
