Longtown Primestock Sale Report
The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart plc had forward 15 prime cattle, 7 OTM cattle, 2,903 prime lambs and 5,970 cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale at Longtown on Thursday 16th July 2015.
Prime cattle saw trade sharper with a ringside of buyers actively seeking greater numbers.
OTM cattle saw trade very competitive.

Another excellent show of 2,903 prime lambs were forward to the usual ring of buyers, all classes easier on the week in line with national trend, with a respectable average in comparison to many other centres of 155p overall. Top price of £108 per head and 208p per kilo for Texels from Rascarrel.
