Crop Sale

C&D Auction Marts Limited held their monthly sale of hay, silage and straw on Tuesday 15th March 2016.

A good attendance of potential buyers gathered in the cattle ring for the company’s monthly sale of crop.

Demand was very good for straw and hay, while demand was very slack for silage. 

Round bales of barley straw sold to £12 from Ted Graham, with others £10 from Mike Lewis. 

Square bales of wheat straw realised £18 from John Hepburn. 

Hay met good demand topping at £19 for round bales from Heatheryknowe, others sold to £18 from Tom Faulder.
