Kelso Ram Sale 2023
C & D Auction Marts Limited were privileged to sell 196 rams of all breeds at the Solantel Kelso Ram Sales on Friday 8th September 2023.
We were favoured to market a fantastic show of some of the finest Cross Bred shearling rams that have graced ring 3.
The pre-sale show was ably judged by Jonta Walton, Grangemoor Farm, Scots Gap, Northumberland, after much deliberation he awarded his champion tup to the pen leader consigned by Allan & Alfie Taylor, Heathery Hall. The champion ram went on to top the sale realising £3,200. This pen of Beltex x rams again caught the eye of many top end prime lamb producers achieving an average of £1,297.05.
Many more top end commercial cross bred rams can be marketed through C&D Auction Marts at this venue to benefit vendors returns.
