Longtown Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report
The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart plc had forward 105 store cattle at their sale at Longtown on Tuesday 3rd February 2015.
A packed ringside of buyers ensured that all prices exceeded recent high rates. Both new buyers and sellers were in attendance. Messrs Tinning, Burnfoot Farm, sold a run of 23 British Blue, Limousin, Shorthorn and Angus heifers to average £1,092. Many more cattle needed to meet requirements of old and new buyers attending Longtown Tuesday sales.
