Longtown Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report
The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers’ Mart plc had a catalogue entry of 271 store cattle at their May Term Prize Show & Sale on Tuesday 12th May, 2015 at Longtown Auction Mart.
Sponsors for the day were Saint & Co. Chartered Accountants and judge was James Crichton, Egremont.
Champion beast from Tinnishall
The overall championship was awarded to a Limousin steer from T.V. & M. Storey, Tinnis Hall, Canonbie, which later sold for £1,150 to David Dickinson, Canonbie.

A tremendous show of cattle were presented to a full ringside of buyers, who despite the weather and decline in prime cattle trade, ensured that prices at Longtown remain very competitive with other local centres.
