Longtown Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of 52 store cattle on Tuesday 11th April 2017. Trade upheld recent high rates, with less numbers about due to farmers lambing. Sale topped at £1,030 for Limousin bullocks shown by Messrs Wigham, Hethermill. Limousin heifers sold to £990 from Mrs J Gorton, Quarryfield.

Today’s sale also included a part dispersal of in calf cows from Messrs CA Grieve & Son, Snab Farm, Waterbeck. A full ringside of customers ensured the cows were very dear throughout, selling to £1,300 for British Blue and Limousin cows.
