Longtown Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts, Longtown had their fortnightly sale of 106 store cattle and 42 breeding cattle on Tuesday 22nd May 2018. A very mixed show of stores, with better quality selling well. Top price was £1,070 for an Angus bullock sold by JA & D Forster, Gillalees, next was £1,060 for a Limousin heifer also from Messrs Forster.

In the breeding section, younger types of cows with calves sold well and topped at £1,550 for a British Blue cow with Limousin calf, then £1,380 for a Simmental third calver with Limousin calf from G. Smith, Campingholm.
