Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held a catalogue sale of 307 store cattle on Tuesday 15th January 2019.
Trade for good quality cattle was exceptional, whilst plainer sorts were harder to cash. Sale topped at £1,200 on three occasions, firstly for Limousin bullocks shown by WH & DA Gass, Nunscleugh then for Limousin heifers from the same home and again for a Limousin heifer sold by G Mitchinson & Sons, Gallowberry. British Blue bullocks to £1,160 from G Mitchinson & Son, High Greenhill with Charolais to £1,150 shown by RI & VA Telford, High Parkfoot.
