Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of 72 store cattle and breeding cattle on Tuesday 29^th January 2019.

A smaller show that anticipated due to the weather conditions, although good cattle continue to sell at recent high rates. The sale topped at £910 for a British Blue heifer from M Johnson & Son, Halfway House, Hexham and for Simmental heifers shown by JDM Thomson, Pilmuir, Hawick.

Breeding cattle sold to £860 for Galloway cow with heifer calf from J Thornton, East Murton, Co. Durham and for a Limousin In Calf heifer from Ardpatrick Estate.
