Longtown Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of store and breeding cattle on Tuesday 8th October 2019.

A nice entry of store cattle was forward but trade slightly easier. Quality lots of breeding cattle sold well.

Store cattle topped at £890 and £880 for Limousin heifers shown by F Gibson, Southwoodhead, Canonbie. Friesian bullocks to £845 (x2) from CT & J Wigham, Hethermill, Kirklinton.

Bulling heifers sold to £1,080 (x2), £1,010 and £1,000 for Limousins from TN & M Story, Fellend, Roweltown, with other Limousin heifers to £925 from The Side. British Blue in calf cows to £1,000 from Waterhead of Dryfe.
