Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Limited held their fortnightly sale of store cattle on Tuesday 7th September 2021.

Quality lots showing style and stretch were in demand with plainer cattle proving harder to place.

The sale topped at £1,220 for Angus bullocks, with others to £1,195, £1,175 and £1,140 from the same home.

Charolais sold to £1,175 for both a pen of bullocks and a heifer shown by G & A Lockhart, Underwoodhouse, Kirkpatrick Fleming.

Angus heifers to £1,125 from D Benson, Wickerthwaite, Roweltown with Limousins to £1,040 from R & J Byers, Whitehill, Walton.

Longtown Auction hosts their next store cattle sale in a fortnights time on Tuesday 21st September, with Saturday 2nd October being the Prize Show & Sale of mainly Continental Suckler Calves & Store Cattle.
