Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Limited had forward a quality show of 2169 store lambs at their Opening Sale at Longtown on Tuesday 26^th July 2016.

Before a packed ring of old and new customers, trade was at extreme rates with all classes short of requirements. Overall average was £61.99, £10.51 up on the year. A special entry of 380 Suffolk x Cheviot lambs from Messrs Bradbury, Satchells sold to £74, with his average up £11 on the year. A lovely run of 300 Texels from Messrs Qualtrough, Messrs Quayle and Glenlough Farms, Isle of Man, sold lambs to £64.50 and averaged £60.21.
