Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Limited had forward a good show of 3,829 store lambs at their sale at Longtown on Tuesday 9th August 2016.

Another top quality entry attracted more buyers with trade again very dear and numbers still short of requirements. Overall average was £61.58.

Top of £80 for Beltex from Greenwell Meadows and Suffolk crosses from Monk Farm.

Texels to £75 from Barsalloch, £73 Mount Pleasant and £71 Barmagachan. Suffolk to £75, for ewe lambs, and £70.50 Tarrasfoot. Greyface to £72 Barmagachan & Stonehall, £68 Barsalloch and £67 Monk Farm. Charollais to £66 Gall and Cheviot Mules to £66 Hownam Grange, £61 Oliver Road.
