Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd, Longtown held a great show of 643 ewes & lambs on Tuesday 13^th June 2017, which was a good number for the time of year.

Trade was electric from start to finish with the strongest of trade of the season. With a top of £84.50 for a pen full of Mule 2-3 crop ewes with Texel lambs, with the same good home selling shearlings at £83 and £81. Hoggs & lambs were again in demand selling to a top of £84 a life twice, firstly for Suffolks from Messrs Milburn, Wallend and secondly from Messrs Brough, Seathill for Mules who sold others at £83 & £81.
