Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd had forward 5,104 store lambs of all classes at Longtown on Tuesday 8^th August 2017. A tremendous show of quality lambs with a large company of buyers including several from the South. Trade was still very strong although smaller Mule lambs would be easier on the week.

Top of £76 for Suffolk x Cheviots from Tarrasfoot. Texels to £74 from Nether House, £73.50 Whinney Hill and £73 Burncroft. Beltex to £68 Sharplaw and £66 Flatt. Charollais to £65 Flatt. Cheviot Mule to £72 Sourhope and £70 Hownam Grange. North Cheviots to £69 Oliver Road. Hill Cheviots to £59.50 Burnfoot of Ewes. Greyface to £67.50 Baggarah, £65 Old Hall, £64 Sourhope and £62 Bailey Mill. Blackface to £63 Barsalloch.
