Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their opening sale of Store Lambs on Tuesday 17th July 2018, where there was an entry of 802 head.

A good company of mainly local and a few distant buyers were present. All classes met a good selling trade with the overall average £61.95 per head. All vendors being delighted with their sales.

Top price of £68.50 for Suffolk cross from Corvalley Farm, Isle of Man with others to £66 from Keppel Vale and £65.50 from Eastfield of Wiston.

Texels to £67.50 for a grand consignment of 150 from Stone Hall, Slaggyford who sold other pens at £65. £68 was achieved for a pen of Texels from Corvalley, Isle of Man, others to £62 Nutholm & £64 Townfoot.
