Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd had forward a much larger show of ewes & hoggs with lambs at foot sold to an increased ring side of buyers for our weekly sale at Longtown on Tuesday 4th June 2019.

Best quality outfits very dear and short of buyer’s requirements, selling to a top of £102 a life for Texel hoggs with lambs from J. Browell, Quarry House.

Geld hoggs topped at £108 a life for a Texel x from D. McGregor, Longrigg.

R. Muir, Low Stanley Farm annual consignment of hoggs and lambs, again sold well with his consignment being topped at £86 a life for a single hogg and lamb, which was being sold on behalf of Cancer Research in memory of his late father.
