Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their weekly sale of 3,443 store lambs at Longtown on Tuesday 13th August 2019.
Incorporated into the weekly sale was the annual prize show and sale of Lowland bred lambs, which was ably judged by Messrs Tindale, Paradise Farm, County Durham.

Topping the sale was an outstanding pen of 20 Beltex lambs, which also received the champion rosette, consigned by regular consigner TR & EA Milburn, Wallend Farm realising £94. Out with the show, store lambs sold to another buoyant trade selling to local and distant buyers. Many more are required on a weekly basis to satisfy demand.
