Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their 2^nd Hill Ewe sale and sale of Lowland Ewes on Wednesday 16th October 2019 at Longtown.

All classes of aged hill ewes sold to a huge ringside of purchasers, with many Welsh and Southern customers keen for sheep, resulting in a fast selling trade and many sheep being £15 to £20 up on the year. 5 crop NCC ewes selling to £92; 5 year old SCC ewes to £82 and Blackface ewes to £88.

A tremendous entry of lowland ewes which continued to sell well, as with all other sales this year, selling to a top of £144 for a great pen of Millennium Blue x shearlings.
