Longtown Store Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd had forward 5,097 at their second sale of store hoggs, cast rams and feeding ewes on Tuesday 14^th January 2020 at Longtown mart.

Hoggs were hardly the quality show of the main sale, however buyers were very keen to purchase, trade for hill hoggs would be dearer with best hoggs only slightly easier. All classes were again easily sold for the large offering forward.

The feature of the sale was an outstanding entry of Beltex hoggs from Clints Farming Partnership, Crookston, Heriot, whose top was £109, to average £93.66 overall.
