Longtown Store Sheep Sale Report
C&D Auction Marts Ltd had forward 4,461 store lambs and feeding ewes at Longtown on Tuesday 8th December 2020.
Another good show attracted several buyers from a distance together with locals. All classes met a strong selling trade all day with recent high rates more than maintained.

Feeding ewes another big trade. Top £79 for Cheviot Mules from Priesthaugh and Romneys from Holme Farm. Greyfaces to £71 Low Old Shield. Hill ewes to £76 for Cheviots from Ramshope, others to £70 High Wood & Priesthaugh; Blackfaces to £62 & £60 Ramshope, £59 Blackburn. Cast rams to £100 for a Texel from Highwood.
