Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report
C&D Auction Marts had forward a smaller show of ewes with lambs at foot, on Tuesday 11th May 2021, which saw outfits well bid for, realising their full value here in the ring at Longtown.
With several customers present, the sale topped at £122 a life for a pen of huge Texel x hoggs with lambs from Messrs Slaven, Foregirth.

For the time of year, a good entry of 288 store hoggs and feeding ewes met another strong trade for all classes.

Feeding ewes met a buoyant trade. Top £96 for a Beltex from Coalfell; Greyfaces to £93 Edston; Cheviots to £80 Leafield, who also sold Blackfaces to £56; Herdwicks to £61 Bonnyrigg Hall.
