Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report
C&D Auction Marts Ltd had forward 5,169 store hoggs, feeding ewes and cast rams at Longtown at their weekly sale on Tuesday 4th January 2022.
A very good show of hoggs met strong competition from start to finish, with all classes more than maintaining recent high rates. Included in the sale was the annual consignment of 636 Beltex and Texel cross hoggs from RJ Muir, Low Stanley, Tow Law, whose top was £125 & £120 & £118 & £117 & £116 & £115, with an overall average of £107.54.
