Longtown Store Sheep Sale Report
C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their weekly sale of 5,019 store lambs and feeding ewes at Longtown on Tuesday 8th November 2022.
A large company of both distant and local buyers present. Another good entry of lambs, with quality mixed, trade was strong throughout with plenty of best lambs making well over £100, strong Greyface, Blackface and Cheviots all selling very well.

Feeding ewes and rams (604) another large show and dearer. Top £131 for Texel ewe from Spittal Riding Hill, others to £117 Brieredge; Beltex to £117 Moss Hill; Greyfaces to £91 Halflawkiln. Hill ewes to £79 for Cheviots from Archbank, others to £77 Hartsgarth; Blackfaces to £71 Brieredge. Cast rams to £141 for Texels from Hartsgarth, who also sold Cheviots at £117, others to £107 Newton Farm House.
