Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd had forward 2,373 store hoggs, feeding ewes and cast rams at Longtown on Tuesday 28th March 2023. Another excellent show, plenty of buyers, all classes a flyer and short of requirement.

A large show of 110 lives of ewes and lambs sold to strong demand, with ewes and strong lambs short of buyers requirements. Sale topped at £100 per life for an aged Texel x ewe with shapey Beltex lambs from H Lawson, East Mains. Many more are required going forward.
