Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd had forward 3,522 Store Hoggs and Feeding ewes and cast rams at Longtown on Tuesday 27th February 2024.

Another good entry of hoggs for the time of the year attracted more buyers. Trade as expected was very dear with late high rates easily maintained.

Top £172 for Beltex from Mr K Lee, Edengrove and £164 from Howard House also £147, £145 from Fell House.

Also included in the store sale today was a small selection of inlamb ewes which sold well topping at £115 for Cheviots from Yetholm Mains with Romneys to £114 and £112 Rammerscales Farm.
