Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C & D Auction Marts held their weekly sale of 6,273 Store Lambs on Tuesday 5th November 2024.

The best of Beltex lambs in very high demand, with many more needed to fulfil purchaser’s requirements. Topping the sale at £150 was a pen of Beltex cross lambs from S D Allen, Ellerslrea, who had a fantastic run of Beltex and Suffolk cross lambs which averaged £126. Suffolks topped at £134 for previously mention S D Allen, Ellerslea.

Feeding ewes hit high rates, being in very strong demand. Top of the day was Suffolk cross ewes at £156 from E Wilkie, Shaw Cottage.
