Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C & D Auction Marts held their weekly sale of 4,971 Store Lambs on Tuesday 26th November 2024.

A slightly larger show of store sheep forward saw unbelievable returns as trade lifted to another level. Topping today at £160 was a Dutch Spotted cross ewe lamb from WJ & JG Bell, Kinninghall.  Longer keep lambs regularly sold between £90 to £100. Texel Lambs topped at £153 from RW Purvis, Newham Hagg.

A smaller show of 481 feeding ewes forward, following on from the lambs to meet a blistering trade with plenty of buyers on the hunt for feeding ewes. Top price was a pen of Texel cross ewes from previously mention RW Purvis, Newham Hagg realising £177.
