526 Prime Hoggs – very mixed show for quality and in keeping with the national trend were easier on the week especially heavy hoggs which were hard to cash. Top price per kg was 213p for a pen of Blackface Hoggs from Baltier Farming Co, Baltier Whithorn. Highest price per head was £93 for Suffolk Crosses from Mr A McKune, Townhead, Bankend. Overall average for hoggs was 194.6p Top prices.
