Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart held their Weekly Sale of Primestock in Dumfries on Wednesday 25th June 2014.

Small show of Prime Cattle forward
Heifers Limousin to 227p from J & L Craik, Waterside to JD Owen & Sons Butchers Newton Stewart.

A larger show of 63 OTM saw more buyers in attendance and many more could have been sold, a firmer trade on the week. Sale topped at 156p for an Aberdeen Angus cow from Blairshinnoch.

A good show of 561 Prime Lambs forward to an increase ringside of buyers. All classes much firmer on the week with an average of 221.5p

Sale was topped at £110 for Suffolks from JR Jackson, Cushag and a top of 247p for Texels from J & T Hiddleston, Newmains, more lambs could be sold to advantage.
