Dumfries Primestock Report

C&D Auctions Ltd held their weekly Sale of Prime Hoggs, Cast Rams & Ewes in Dumfries on Wednesday 8th May 2024.

A small offering of spring lambs forward topped at £188 per head for Hampshire’s 409p/kg E. Brown, Newfield, the same consigner also followed at £170 per head for more Hampshires at 425p/kg.

A mixed offering of Prime Hoggs on offer, good well fleshed Hoggs easily maintained recent rates. Topping the sale were Texel Hoggs at £208 per head from I Stewart, Halldykes and 383p/kg from R Spence, Springfield.
