C&D Auctions held their weekly sale of Prime Sheep in Dumfries, which included the Annual Christmas Show, on Wednesday 4th December 2024.
W MacTaggart showed his experience in judging finding his champion from SN Graham, Hillend with Texels selling at £200 (43kg) to SMS Group, Oxford. Reserve pen made £180 (50kg) from J Muir & Son, Cleughbrae. The show was kindly sponsored by Starlying Feeds.
Out with the show trade remains firm with best sorts of all sizes wanted. Sale averaged 305.2p/kg selling to £202 from W Borthwick & Son, Shangan.
Lambs donated to the St Andrews Day Lamb Promotion from D Sloan, Rigghead and M Kay, Auchenfad. SN Graham, Hillend kindly donated a price of a lamb at £180 to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, Tartan Giraffe MND, Kelso.
