The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart held their second sale of Rams which incorporated most of the Scottish consignments usually destined for Longtown on Friday 10th October 2008.

Good tups easily sold and in short supply, included was a Show & Sale of Texel Rams and Ram Lambs kindly sponsored by Wallace Oils.

The judge Mr Ross of Romesbeoch awarded the Champion to a Texel Shearling from Messrs Smith, Crumhaughill, Hawick which realised £560 to Messrs Halliday, Pearsby Hill, Lockerbie
