C & D Auction Marts Ltd held their weekly sale of Store Sheep in Dumfries on Saturday 24th September 2016 which included The Annual Sale of Blackface Draft Ewes and Gimmers.

1600 Blackface Ewes & Gimmers – All classes met a pleasing trade

Blackface Ewes averaged £60.23 (2015 £52.81) to £98 Burnfoot, £80 Marbarck, £78 Over Cairn, £74, £72, £70 Kirkland, £71 Newbigging

Blackface Gimmers averaged £96.46 (2015 £85.05) to £146 Burnfoot, £128, £116, Hayfield, £120 Clonrae, £114 Chanlockfoot

1457 Store Lambs forward – Once again a plentiful ringside of buyers were in attendance although Blackface Lambs looked easier on the week.
