C & D Auction Marts Ltd held their weekly sale of Store Sheep in Dumfries which included the 3rd Sale of Scotch Mule Ewe Lambs on Friday 30th September 2016.
800 Scotch Mule Ewe Lambs – Once again met keen competition.

C & D Auction Marts Ltd held their Annual Ram Fair in Dumfries when 318 were forward.
A very large ringside of buyers were present for all classes and a pleasing trade prevailed.
Bluefaced Leicester Rams met a very brisk trade with Shearlings to £680 from TW Hamilton & Son, Kirkton of Crawford to Lightshaw Farming.

A fine show of Texel Rams and Ram Lambs attracted a busy ring of buyers all whom were looking to buy the best quality on offer as a reflection of the bouyant prime lamb trade for the best sheep. The Sale was topped at £620 for an outstanding Shearling from Annual Consignors, Mesrs Johnstone, Boghouse selling to Glenkiln Farms, his excellent pen of 13 Shearlings averaged just short of £500. Lambs topped at £400 twice firstly from Mesr Cullen, Craighead to Mesr Hill, Drumcruilton and then from Mesr Hastings, Kilcroft to Mesr Kingan, Laneside.
