Ervie Hereford Bull Sale

C & D Auctions held the annual spring sale of 50 Ervie Hereford bulls at Mains of Airies, Stranraer on behalf of John Douglas and Family on Thursday 13th February 2020.

Buyers who made their way through wintry conditions were not disappointed with the quality, un-pampered and outwintered rising 2yo bulls on offer.

Leading price of £3700 was attained by Ervie Advance 182453 sire RLI Achiever 151966N and out of a Lisette 101529 Dam with great depth of body, natural thickness, balanced ebv's and high indexes he caught the eye of M/s DT Lang & Son, Cleghorn.

Next best at £3600 was Ervie Advance 182400 purchased by local black baldie producer R Parker, Drumdow. This light birth weight bull was sired by L1 Achiever 141753 from the Laura 101466 Family.

Ervie Advance 182417 sold at £3400 to Home Robertson Farming, Berwick on Tweed. First son of imported sire RLI Achiever 151973N this light birth weight bull scored high on milk and growth figures.

£3200 was paid by Robert Parker for Ervie Advance 182515 from the Lisette 301069 family and sired by RLI Achiever 151966N

Bulls sold from £1800 to £3700 to average £2223.
