Mart PLC held their fortnightly sale of Store cattle at Dumfries on Monday
5th May 2008.
105 Breeding Cattle forward
Included in the sale were the Dispersal of 43 Lead of Simmental cattle
from Mr J Kirk, High Mainshead, Dumfries. A Large Crowd Present ensured
that the stock was keenly bid for with the top price of £1350 Paid
for a Simmental Cow with Bull Calf at foot to Mr H Rorison, Clonrae, Tynron.
The 4 Year Old Stock Bull also sold well £2200 to Glenkiln Farms,
Dumfries. The two Young Bulls on offer realised £1850 & £1800
respectively.
