large show of 5,701 prime lambs saw all classes keenly sought after,
short in supply and dearer on the week. The 4,438 lambs over 36 kilos
averaged 156p and the 1,263 lambs under 36 kilos averaged 161p. Overall
average of 157.8p per kilo. The sale was topped at 196p per kilo
for Texels from Stackbraes and to £88.50 per head for Texels
