Longtown on Thursday 28th January, 2010.
Prime cattle were a similar
trade selling to a top of 185.5p for a Limousin heifer from Hallburn;
Charolais 182.5p Hallburn; British Blue 184.5p Ladyhousesteads. Blonde
d’Aquitaine bullocks to 175.5p

Over thirty month cattle were
a sharper trade with a top price of 161.5p (£1,065) for British
Blue heifers from Ladyhousesteads; Hereford 122.5p (£673) Enzieholm.

Another large show of 5,277 prime hoggs sold to a full ring of buyers
but a poorer show for quality was forward, however the sale still
averaged a very sound 194p per kilo. The 3,460 hoggs over 36 kilos
averaged 194.1p and the 1,638 under 36 kilos averaged 193.6p.
