prime lambs and 7,849 cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale at
Longtown on Thursday 25th August, 2011.
Once again a large show of
107 prime cattle saw a tremendous trade throughout
and vendors going home delighted with their returns. Limousin bullocks
topped the sale at 221.5p for an outstanding animal from J. Retson & Son,
Gardrum, other Limousin bullocks to 215.5p Toppin Castle, 211.5p,

per kilo for that sheer volume, a good 6-10p ahead of other centres
on the same day.
