The final sale of 2011 of prime cattle saw the whole sale average
201.1p per kilo with new buyers and vendors in attendance. The sale
was topped at 216.5p for a Limousin heifer from J. & N. Blaylock & Son,
Hallburn, and Limousin bullocks peaked at 213.5p from A. & W.J.
Taylor & Son, Dashwell Green, purchased by W. Kirkup & Sons,
Butchers, Longtown. Charolais bullocks to 212.5p from J.W. Vevers,
High Stenries and heifers to 211.5p J. & D. Longlands Ltd., Tonehall.
